I have a year old male who may be impacted. He has stopped eating but has a rounded tummy. He just sits on a log, and from time to time appears to be trying to eliminate.
His enclosure has the correct temps and humidity. I reaised this guy from a very small froglet and he has not come into contact with any frogs other than his female tank mate.
They have shared the same tank for almost 8 mos.
Up till the other day, he had an incredible appetite, then suddenly..nothing.
The exotic vet here charges nearly $100 just to see the frog and then extra for tests and meds. I have not been able to get a fecal from this animal, so it would be difficult to know if he had parasites or some other infection.
If you have any ideas, I would appreciate hearing them.
I tried soaking him in pedialyte and also warm water with no results.
