So I really didn't like the electricity part of physics class...
I've got to figure out a fan option that isn't going to bankrupt me, and is simple enough that I don't have to call out an electrician to set this up. This is what I've found so far. Let me know if I'm going to burn my house down lol.
Controller;
SilentX 4-channel controller This is a power supply and 4-channel controller. It's the only multi-channel controller that is reasonably affordable that I can find. It has a 12volt output, so I assume that means I need to have 12volt fans. Considering I am using 30 mm holes for my tank, I should also be using 30mm fans. That leads me to this option;
Fans:
Sunon 30mm fan. This leads me to the main problem. The controller has 3-pin connectors, but the fan has 2-pin connectors. There is a 30mm fan on the same site that uses 2-pin connectors, but it is a 5volt model. No good. That leads me to my main question.
What is the difference in type A,C, and D adapters?!?!
Type A
Type C
Type D
They are all the same price, so I don't want to order the wrong one and burn my house down.
Total cost;
Powersupply/controller: $35
30mm Fans x 4: $40
3pin-2pin adapters x 4: $12
Total cost: $87
Not too bad.
