Dear Dendroboard community,
In 2006 I purchased Dendroboard as a dedicated administrator and committed hobbyist. Over the past 7 years, I have worked to grow the site, protect the community, revamp the layout, migrate to new software, add features, deal with endless attacks and spammers, perform multiple server migrations and handle community disputes. While we have a very helpful moderation team that I am extremely appreciative of, at a technical level this has been a one man operation. As the site has grown, so has the responsibility and time commitment. Personally, my availability has been decreasing.
Dendroboard has been a big part of my life and I am very proud of what the site has become. There are times in life when the right decision is not an easy one nor does it have anything to do with yourself. Over the past couple of months I have come to the conclusion that the community would be better served by someone with more time to manage the needs of this community.
Effective immediately, I have transferred ownership of this site to a company called VerticalScope Inc. In a few moments, the new Admin of this community, will drop in to say hello.
VerticalScope is an establish company based out of Ontario, Canada that owns and manages numerous online forums.
Some of the benefits VerticalScope brings to the site and community are:
I thank you all for your commitment to Dendroboard, the hobby and myself. I cannot express how proud I am to have owned and been a part of this site. As I have stated this was not an easy decision but one I felt necessary to sustain the site for years to come. I plan to continue to participate as a member of the site as time permits and I am committed to a smooth transition. I do suspect some of our banned members will test the waters with the new owners and a full list has been presented to VerticalScope. As always, please utilize the site reporting features to report any strange behavior.
Sincerely,
