I'm working toward building a 60x30x48"tall paludarium, will be my first. Was going to convert a 180gal fish tank that sprung a leak but wife signed off on going for the taller option (been talking with Jason at Protean Terrariums about building it). It's way early to start a build thread but I found the wood for what I was wanting to do & just had to show it.

It is a peninsula style setup, between kitchen & living room. The plan so far is to have water about 10" deep so the roots will be underwater & only land will be on the left hand side. The end that goes behind the wall on the left will be all planted & the big crack between the two stumps I'll fill with substrate & plant, then lots of vines high in the tank. Like I said way premature to start a build thread but just had to share the wood find. Oh I almost forgot this is manzanita wood from Manzanita Burlworks.
Still doing research on building options & what plants & animals & how to set it up for them & care for them. So probably will be bugging everyone one with some more question over the next weeks & months. Will start a real thread when I actually get the tank (or what ever it should be called).
