Hydro Rockz?

I've searched the site and I've found no mention of Hydro Rockz (with a Z). It's a lightweight expanded clay and I'm wondering if anyone has used it and if it's safe.


Also, I already have a false bottom and I've read in threads that there's no need to have "LECA" and a false bottom, but wouldn't your substrate get through your mesh and into your false bottom? I have number 7 needlepoint mesh.
