It seems to be breeding season for my bakhuis as they've been courting all day with possible egg laying in the cocohut as we speak! But anyways that made me wonder about playing recorded calls for my leucs. I mostly wanted to see what reaction I got from them. To my surprise and delight my leuc pair (supposed proven pair but the guy couldn't even tell me which was male but I was fine with because I traded old video games for them ;)) met up near the source of the calling. But! My "male" started petting my "female" then my "female" led my "male" into the cocohut (which I've rarely seen them use). Again I've never seen either call and am not 100% sure on the genders. Have I just confused them? Anyone else experimented with playing recorded calls from the same species?
