Hey :)
New to the board and to darts. I've been absorbing the forum for quite a while now. So many thanks to you all for all the great info.
I've been working on a 120 gallon cube viv for the last few months and have it fairly well set up.
Good drainage layer of Leca with ABG mix above with weed matting to separate.
Underfloor heating cables below the ABG controlled by a thermostat. Drain tube set up for when required.
I've it planted around a month now and seeded with springtails, awaiting some isopods.
Temps are holding well between 23-27 degrees and humidity staying between 90-95%. I've misted it every other day. I've a pc CPU fan set up in the tank which is keeping the glass clear-got that idea here :) cheers.
Question is just how wet/moist should the substrate be ? The leaf litter and ground moss seems quite dry to the touch on the surface in between mistings. I can see through the glass that there's plenty of moisture/condensation just below and if I dig my finger in a little it feels damp. Is this okay ?
Here's a few pics of how it looks so far. Still have to decide what species to get, but I'm leaning towards Leucs at the moment. But as availability isn't great here (Ireland) it may be some time before I can get some.
